Independent Project
Independent Project Digital Art
Final Project Ms. Alisa
Date Assigned: April 6, 2016 Due Date: May 19, 2016
Goal: To independently learn a new or advanced skill by creating a practice piece and then an original piece.
Explanation:
As you finish up a year of developing your digital art skills, it is time to find a specific skill that you would like to expand on. This can either be a new skill (learning adobe after effects) or a more advanced skill (using illustrator to create an interior design), either way it is up to you. Think about what you are highly interested in, it could be something that we did this year already and would like to advance, or it could be something that we have not covered yet that you want to explore. Once you have decided you will need to set a goal for yourself on how you plan to grow as an artist during this last chunk of the year.
Project Proposal: Create a blog post stating your goal clearly. Include the tutorial that you intend to use. You do not need to have a specific final artwork in mind yet (it should come to you during Part 1) but if you have an idea you should include it. Due: April 25th
Part 1: To learn this new skill, you should find a highly in depth tutorial. There are many places these are available online. You will follow the tutorial as closely as possible to get a similar result. This must be an advanced tutorial, you may also follow multiple tutorial and create multiple smaller works instead (it should take you at least 4 classes to finish). Due: May 5th
Part 2: Now that you have a base skill set, use your creativity to take it to the next level. You should create another artwork that uses the skills you have learned but is your own unique idea. This should be an advanced; mastery level artwork (should take at least 4 classes to finish). This could be one piece of artwork or multiple, depending on your idea, medium, and skill set. Due May 19th
