Alisa BlundonArt Educator | Photographer | ArtistA photographer by nature, I am an art educator with a love for the arts in all forms. My philosophy of education involves intertwining traditional techniques with 21st century skills, technical knowledge with organic learning, fine art with modern approaches, and historical context with current culture. This allows me to engage the individual and foster the artist within each student.
I believe that technology is bringing a whole new world of possibilities into the art world and I am exploring those without hesitation through integrating technology into traditional art classes as well as leading digitally based arts courses. Growing up in New England, I call Maine (USA) my home. After teaching Elementary Art in Norway, Maine I moved abroad to teach High School AP and Digital Art in Yangon, Myanmar (SE Asia). You will now find me in Istanbul, Turkey teaching Middle Years Art and drinking lots of çay. I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education with a concentration in Photography and a minor in Art History. Continuing my education, I am a certified Instructional Technologist through The University of Maine as well as a Google Certified Educator and Admin. |
