Activity #3: Value

If you want to make an object look truly realistic you will need to add shading to your drawings. To do this you will have to make some areas darker and leave some areas light.

Step #2: Try for yourself

Follow along with the tutorial and create a sphere (3D circle), be sure to include the highlight, core shadow, reflected light, and the cast shadow. 

Step #3: If you have extra time . . . 

Try to draw the apple on your table using the shadow techniques that you learned from above.
