Activity #3: Contours to Details

Drawing nature from observation can be difficult, try this technique of learning how to start simple then add bigger elements as you go along. 

Step #1: Watch this video

Step #2: Try for yourself

In your sketchbook draw try drawing one of the plants on your table. Remember to make it large, trying to go off the page on all four sides

Step #3: If you have extra time . . . 

Add value to your plant to make it more three dimensional. Afterwards you can try drawing another plant on the table.
