Who were the Surrealists?
Surrealists were abstract artists who created strange artwork that were often inspired by their dreams. They put objects and animals and people together in weird ways to give an abnormal feel.

Your task:
Use magazines to cut out objects, people, places, and animals. Combine these together in strange ways to make a surrealist collage.
Steps:
1. Find a background image
2. Find a few objects, people, places, or animals in a magazine and cut them out (don't spend too long on the finding part)
3. Arrange them on the background
4. Glue down
*Be sure your name and class code is on the back of your paper in pencil
*If you are working digitally, be sure to save your work to the camera roll (even if it is not finished)
