Date Assigned: February 22, 2016                                                                                                                                    Due Date: March 17, 2016

Goal:
For your final animation project you will create an animation to express your opinion on a social issue in a unique way.

Explanation:
Now that you have a great understanding of the different types of animation, you will complete one last animation of your choice. This animation will be on the topic of a social issue. You may make this animation amusing, interesting, or informative (hopefully a bit of all of them). You may choose any type of animation to make but it must include at least two different kinds. The key to this animation is your creativity and ability to express through your artwork. You will need to stretch and explore beyond what you have created thus far.

Details:
You may work in partners or individually. You may not chose a kind that you chose for the past animation project. There is not a minimum time requirement, you should focus on making a full, completed, finished animation to the best of your ability.

Requirements:
  • 2 kinds of animation
  • Planning sheet
  • Storyboard
  • Commentary on social issue
  • Unique and original
  • Finished, completed animation

Animation Options:
  • Object based (stop-motion using various everyday objects)
  • Pixilation (stop-motion using people as the objects)
  • Drawing (traditional pencil or pen drawing animation)
  • Clay (traditional Claymation animation)
  • Rotoscope (digitally drawn over a movie clip)
  • Digital Animation
