Expressive Self-Portraits
Expressive Self-Portrait Art 1
Portraiture Ms. Alisa
Date Assigned: February 18/19, 2016 Due Date: March 17/18, 2016
Goal:
For your final Portraiture assignment you will create another self-portrait. This time you have the freedom to create a portrait that truly represents you and expresses your ideas, emotions, or personal meanings.
Explanation:
What we look like on the outside is not always the same as how we feel on the inside. This self-portrait should be about EXPRESSION. You may choose to express an emotion, idea, or personal meaning by making a creative self-portrait. This portrait can be as abstract as you would like but it should represent YOU! The key here is to be creative, take risks, and express yourself. You may use your choice of media but you must use at least two different kinds. Use the world and other artists as inspiration but be sure that your idea is original and that it connects to you personally; after all this is a SELF-portrait.
